Our pigments

We are continually searching for suppliers and sources of ingredients which will improve the quality, durability and finish of all our products. After considerable testing and evaluation, Betonas is pleased to offer our customers, an exquisite collection of 16 new concrete colors derived from pigments which are of 100% organic mineral composition. They are imported from Les Ocres des France, the only remaining European company mining the ocher deposits in the French quarries of Gargas and Rustrel.

These pigments have been used for centuries in the paints, frescoes and stains which have so distinctively defined the architecture and character of Europe's most colorful regions, and are unsurpassed in terms of stability and colorfastness. In addition to these new hues, we will continue to offer our other popular color choices which are formulated from a variety of different cements and pigments.



Color and Concrete

All of our products are integrally colored. Each ingredient of the concrete mix contributes to the final color appearance. While we carefully control the ingredients which go into our mixtures, we cannot precisely control the way in which those ingredients disperse and settle against the surfaces of the forms. No two pieces are ever exactly alike in terms of their color depth or tonal range.This is the nature of concrete- it is the mystery which makes each piece special.
